NAPA VALLEY, CA – On Saturday, October 18, Honor the Promise will host Wine with Warriors, a first-ever matinee screening and evening fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for Afghans who fought alongside U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF). The documentary NOORI, produced by Dulcinea Productions, follows the story of one elite Afghan Special Operations veteran as he navigates life in America after the collapse of Afghanistan. With support from U.S. Special Operations veterans who served in Afghanistan, Khalid Noori embraces a new mission - to heal from the wounds of war before his daughter is born. NOORI offers a powerful, humanizing lens into the brotherhood between Afghan and American special operators, highlighting their shared journey of service, sacrifice, and resilience.

The private screening of NOORI will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Cinemark Century Napa Valley. The gala fundraiser at Inglenook will be from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.
The event is proudly sponsored by CVS, Spartan Aerospace Group, Turbine Engine Specialists, and Cellebrite. Special guests include four-star General Scott Miller, a retired U.S. Army Ranger who was the commander of ground forces during “Blackhawk Down” and is the longest serving U.S. Commander in Afghanistan, and Command Sergeant Major Matthew Williams, a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret and Medal of Honor Recipient. The documentary’s official Impact Partners include the Global SOF Foundation and the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation.
“This is a story for all Americans,” said Producer Lyla Kohistany, an Afghan refugee and U.S. Navy veteran who founded Honor the Promise. “Our Afghan partners stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Americans for 20 years, bound by our shared values and belief in freedom. They bled for both Afghanistan and America. This film is their living legacy and a call for us to remember, honor, and heal.”
“This film is about the triumph of the human spirit against unfathomable odds,” said Will Agee, the film’s director and Napa resident. “The shared experiences of Afghan and American special operators in combat is something that few people have witnessed. Through this film, we’re ensuring that their stories continue to inspire long after the headlines have faded.”
“I’m proud to co-host this event because it’s an opportunity to support those who defended our troops in the far corners of Afghanistan,” said Chris Morisoli, a U.S. Army Blackhawk pilot who flew MEDEVAC missions in Afghanistan and is a fifth-generation winemaker at Morisoli Vineyards. “Today, we can thank our Afghan partners for their service by welcoming them into our communities and helping them achieve their American dream.”
Wine with Warriors will feature select remarks, a matinee private screening of the documentary, and an opportunity to support the film’s future impact through silent and live auctions at Inglenook.
